Pagan Man Shipment Update

I finally received a box of The Pagan Man about an hour ago and have packed up about 80% of the orders I now have on hand. These will go out by Priority Mail first thing tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

Since I still have about ten unfilled orders on hand, I had to prioritize on a basis of who ordered their copies first. I’m ordering another box of books first thing in the morning and will ship those out as soon as I receive them.

If you still want to order a copy and get it before Xmas, I strongly suggest using Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com and paying for overnight shipping.

When you’re a Geek for the holidays

When I first saw a link for Gingerbread PC, I wondered if this was another false skirmish in the so-called “war” on Christmas. Would it tell me it’s only ok to build a gingerbread church? Would some paranoid Happy Holidays hater opine that gingerbread houses are too reminiscent of Hansel and Gretel and the witch, and thus contaminate the Christmas tree? Had to click, had to.

Much to my delight I discovered a Gingerbread Personal Computer. Ok, the site and the instructions are all in Swedish, which I don’t read (pity, I would have loved to have the recipe for the gingerbread itself), but the pictures are great fun. Hope you like them, too.

Them Swedes. Winter nights are really long up there.

Pagan Man Shipment Delays

According to my contract, I was originally supposed to receive a big box of The Pagan Man copies in the middle of November. Had this happened, all of you who ordered autographed copies would have them by now.

It’s the middle of December and they still haven’t arrived. I’ve instigated a search to see whatever happened to them and am told I will find out next Monday or Tuesday. Meanwhile, all the envelopes are labeled and stamped, just waiting for contents.

If I get the books by next Wednesday they will go into the mail the same day. Since I’m sending everything Priority Mail, they might arrive by Xmas. Unfortunately, it now appears clear that there is no way they will arrive before Yule, despite my original assurances.

My apologies to everyone. I will never again attempt to sell autographed copies of a book being released in December.

The Wildhunt Blog on “The Search For A Better Pagan Book Market”

The Wildhunt Blog has a thought-provoking post about what’s right and wrong with the current state of Pagan publishing. It and its comments are well worth reading, even if it is a couple of months old.
