When you’re a Geek for the holidays

When I first saw a link for Gingerbread PC, I wondered if this was another false skirmish in the so-called “war” on Christmas. Would it tell me it’s only ok to build a gingerbread church? Would some paranoid Happy Holidays hater opine that gingerbread houses are too reminiscent of Hansel and Gretel and the witch, and thus contaminate the Christmas tree? Had to click, had to.

Much to my delight I discovered a Gingerbread Personal Computer. Ok, the site and the instructions are all in Swedish, which I don’t read (pity, I would have loved to have the recipe for the gingerbread itself), but the pictures are great fun. Hope you like them, too.

Them Swedes. Winter nights are really long up there.

Mmmm, I might have a pretty close (?) translation as well as other recipes and pictures of several gingerbread computers on my Dec. 16, 2005 blog entry. http://www.xanga.com/sari0009
