Offline for a few days

If you are sending us email or waiting for new blog posts, you may have to wait a while. We will be offline for a few days due to financial difficulties. If you’d like to see us back up and flying sooner, there is a “Donate” link to the right.

In other news, Merlin of Amulets by Merlin fame tells me he has my entire line of Pagan jewelry designs in stock, in both silver and “nu-gold” bronze, ready to ship within 48 hours of receiving your orders. Surprise someone for Yule with their very own Druid Sigil, Oak Awen, or Dagda’s Club!

I’ve received a box of Neopagan Rites from Llewellyn and will be shipping out the pre-publication orders on Friday.

Holiday Wish Lists

As we gaze glumly forward to the winter holidays—money is very tight this year—it occurred to us that we could, if nothing else, post links to our Amazon wish lists so our friends and families will know the sorts of things we’d like to give each other if we could. Because I have two Amazon accounts (one as a buyer and one as an author), I wound up with two wish lists there: Isaac’s Wish List #1 and Isaac’s Wish List #2. Then there’s Phae’s Wish List and Arthur’s Wish List.

Not on our Amazon wish lists, of course, are our other wishes, such as for peace on Earth, a halt to global warming, democracy to be restored in America, Al Gore to run for President, and for the Evangelical subversion of the US Armed Forces to be halted—but those are topics for another day.

Wiccan military chaplain petition

The Sacred Well Congregation, a provider of Pagan/Wiccan Services at Lackland Air Force Base, is attempting to get a previously approved Protestant chaplain in the US Air Force approved as a Wiccan chaplain, but is naturally being stonewalled by the infiltrating and subverting evangelicals in the Air Force’s upper levels. The Sacred Well is collecting signatures for a petition to Congress to get this matter properly resolved.

I have very little faith in petitions work directly, but they often work indirectly if they manage to get enough publicity to break into the traditional media.

Blog software updated

Today, with a certain amount of trepidation, I decided to update the Word Press software that runs this blog. To my great relief, everything works fine! The problem we had with false “no comments” notices was fixed by updating Spam Karma, a nifty plug-in that kills spam comments. I also downloaded and installed a plug-in that should allow us to start posting podcasts here (as soon as I figure out how).

Once again, the Techno-Druid strides slooooooooowly into the future!
