Stuff to go into storage is crammed into the new place, in the ex\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s garage, all over the lawn, (good thing the upstairs landlord\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been away for the weekend; she already suspects we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re a fire trap) and, some, actually in the truck on the way to the storage locker. I just shifted enough stuff so I can get at the dresser drawers so I can put stuff away (don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get me started on dressers\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6) . Bennie the cat is distraught and acting out in his own Bennie way (litter boxes don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t exist if one is either annoyed or has diarrhea).<\/p>\n
Me, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m exhausted, and broke. I missed a bunch of days of work during a lucrative time (I work on commission). I had to bum coffee money from one of the boys at the store yesterday. But I needed it. We were packing the truck until one AM on Sunday night, then a sleepness night at the new place, then back to the old place by 7 AM, then packed and cleaned until noon, when I had to go back to the new place, shower, dress and work for eight hours, which turned into nine because I had last-minute customers (who didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t buy, grrrr). Happy Fourth. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m amazed I was awake enough to drive home. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m amazed that I could get out of the car when I did get home, considering how badly I hurt. I have done harder work than this house move, but I was a tad younger then.<\/p>\n
Today is a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153day off,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d which means I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t go to the store, I just do hard labor here at the new place. Gotta make some room to move. Gotta put my clothes away (I was late for work yesterday because I couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t find clean clothes or matching socks). Gotta do something with the kitchen, \u00e2\u20ac\u2122cause eating out is costing us a fortune we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have. Gotta get the stuff to storage so we can return the truck and pray the U-Haul bill isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t more than we have in the bank. (Friday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s paycheck is long gone already.)<\/p>\n
For two people who have moved as many times as Isaac and I have, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d think we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be better at it by now.<\/p>\n
